Plans for summer 2010
After the Negotiated Studies project I decided that one thing I have learnt from it was that experience is so crucial in developing yourself within the profession you want to enter. This summer I have made many plans to carry out work experience, I have an interview lined up with with a company for a six week placement through the lead up and during fashion week. I have also contacted many other PR companies and I am either waiting to hear back or on the waiting list for a vacancy.
Having done this project again, there are many things I would have done differently, but instead at looking at the negative I look back at it as a major learning curve and realisation on the career I want to go forward in. I have a better understanding, but experience would have been the icing on the cake and given me the real experience. I have also come to realise that pr is so reliant on a team of people. I found it hard with the amount that could and was done; a team is something that PR is strongly based around.
Altogether the project was a huge success as without it I wouldn’t know what I now know.
